Beauty is the special quality inside a person that luminates with her actions, words, and true respect for others. It's not just a physical quality. With that said, what I think that makes me a truly beautiful person is the the love I have for my children. I have been blessed with 3 boys that God has given me and the fact that I have been able to balance my life to raise them is even more of a blessing. This is the hardest and most fulfilling task that I have been able to accomplish.
Currently, I have the distinct pleasure of preparing my first born for his prom and graduation. In the fall, my son will be attending college. What an accomplishment!!! I am so proud and felt the need to share this with you because for all of you who have done this or who are about to embark on this same journey, give yourself a round of applause. You should be proud to be that beautiful person that has sacrificed so much of yourself for your child to have a life of his or her own.
I have had to raise myself since 15 years old. I had a will to be educated and a will to succeed in this place called life. Based on my experience, I have a lot to pass down to my children as they become men. Would I change anything that has happened? Good question that I am still trying to answer. So far I believe that my life has benefited me in great ways because of my choices and in the end has made me stronger even though there were many times I wanted to throw in the towel, but that strength did not let me do it. So, I have had to endure through bad days and know through faith that good days were around the corner and I haven't been let down yet. I hope that for all that read this, know that good days happen, and the way it happens is by counting your blessings each and everyday even on the bad days which is harder to do. An exercise I do for myself is affirmation. Write 3 things down that you are blessed to have in your life and if you can name more then do it. It picks me up when I am down even though I don't always see the light at the of the tunnel. This is my light I am creating when I do this. If you do something different, I would love to hear it.
